PBS TJ100 Turbojet Engine Powers MBDA’s New Crossbow Missile
16. 09. 2025
PBS is proud to announce its cooperation on MBDA’s new Crossbow missile. The missile is powered by our PBS TJ100 turbojet engine. With its compact design, excellent thrust-to-weight ratio, and proven reliability, the TJ100 delivers the performance that makes Crossbow a breakthrough solution for long-range strike.
The Crossbow heavy one-way effector, introduced by MBDA at DSEI UK 2025, represents the next generation of deep strike capability. Designed for ranges beyond 800 km and payloads up to 300 kg, the system offers flexibility in both kinetic and non-kinetic missions, even in complex electromagnetic environments.
At the heart of this innovative system lies the PBS TJ100 turbojet engine. Compact yet powerful, the TJ100 provides exceptional thrust-to-weight ratio, low fuel consumption, and proven in-flight restart capability. These features ensure not only extended operational range, but also high reliability under demanding mission profiles.
The choice of PBS propulsion highlights our long-standing expertise in the development of advanced turbine engines. The TJ100 has already been successfully deployed in numerous UAVs, missiles, and special applications worldwide. Its integration into Crossbow further confirms PBS as a trusted partner in the global defence industry.
